Alden has a love/hate relationship with social media.  A while back Alden DC was going to do a email list of some sort.  A lot of people here signed up for it. However, Alden corporate pulled it and it never got off the ground.

^^^LaymanX, great 1 year update.  Love to see these shoes after some wear nod[1].gif

I really wanted to like the Plaza but couldn't get it to work for me. I wish I could find a special makeup on the Plaza in a narrow width, maybe that would work but unfortunately that is insanely difficult to come across.

More curious is that they are on Twitter to begin with.

Now if only Alden DC will get its own website**, and keep an updated inventory of its shell, including exotics. Wishful thinking .........

** I realize their inventory is, at least in theory, linked to the Alden SF site. But I have had first hand experiences with this not being accurate.

Thanks! I'm just glad they've lightened up in color. When they first arrived, I was a bit dismayed that they were almost dark to the point of being black. Now they're clearly reddish-burgundy, and the color variation is drool.gif

The Plaza last is not as attractive for us wide fitted cloven hoof souls.

Being one of the unfortunate wide-footed. I have found plaza just fine in an"e" width. To paraphrase today's kids, I shun those retailers who fail to offer their plaza make-ups in the real man's (that is, "e") width.

On my feet, and it may be because they aren't particularly large, the plaza looks really duck like. A bigger issue is actually finding them.

Edit:

TSM does seem to have a bunch of sizes in stock in the CXL LHS... including my size. Hmmm....

Thanks for the head's up MP! Didn't see any stock with Unionmade but I'll contact them maybe they have a batch coming in. Never tried to Copley last though... any input? With the Whiskey LHS a ways away, maybe the NTL CXL will be a shorter wait. TSM's version has some dark sole which I don't really like; besides, they do not carry 6.5D... frown.gif
