L-R:
AE Tresana in cabernet brown
Alden color 8 shell
AE burgundy shell
Alden cigar shell

Equus is a joy to work with and I couldn't recommend their products enough. I now have three Equus belts.

Outstanding

Random question, anyone here have Alden's #8, #4 and AE's burgundy shell, just want to see a picture together to see how they look next to each other (i.e. how red or not red each is).

An Alden Long Wing Blucher, in the color Whiskey.

Not the King of colors, but perhaps a Prince?

Fine looking combination, Uncle.  Love the liquid-like shine.  Wear in great health, your captoe boots.

I was there yesterday and saw a couple of shell tassel wingtip models on sale but doubt they have many sizes available. Doubt you will find any shell on sale with as much demand as there is for them.  It's hard to find shell in many sizes to begin with.  Happy hunting...

Even within AE burgundy shell there is variation.

I believe they had a few shell models on sale when I was there a couple weeks ago. Sorry, I can't remember which.

The other thing to consider is that the corkbed may have already conformed to the original owner's foot.  In this case, you'll probably would want to have the resole done because the shoe will feel funny if not uncomfortable.  My point is that you have to be ready either way for the possibility of paying for a resole job.
