I recently returned a pair of Flex-Toe Suede Chukkas to J. Crew which I had purchased 0.5 size down from TTS because they were too small.

This after having moved on from a pair of calf LWB that I'd purchased TTS which I felt were too big. So I'm stuck trying to work out the Barrie boot versus Barrie shoe size as well.

Now I'm trying to decide between the cordovan cap-toe boot TTS, or the Indy (Trubalance) in 0.5 size down.

I just wish they had the LWB in shell in my size (0.5 down). I'd be satisfied if they had it on back order.

Are you positive the chukka was on the Barrie? Often they are on the Leydon

Sizing is just about the same IMO.

Does anyone have experience wearing Alden Ravello Shell Cordovan Chukkas with dark blue jeans? I'm wondering how such a combination might play out.

Nice combo rydenfan. I'll shall not revisit yesterday's kurfuffle over cuffed jeans, only to say that yours look very good sir.

Thanks. Jeans are considerably more tapered and slim leg but I was bent kind of far over for the pic.

Look this this normally

Obvioualy it is a matter of taste, but as RdeenFan's pictures show, the ravello is reddish in tone and can look great with dark denim. Some prefer less contrast and so color 8 would fit that bill and look superb and is more accessible. And color 8 is king.
