Funny...I just got my CXL Indys, and they've got the exact same issue. I suspect they'll stretch a bit, though...they're immensely comfortable otherwise.

It seems like about a year ago that I first saw the Barry crepe sole chukka in tan suede on the J Crew website.  Those sold out quickly.  Then a few months later they listed the same make up in Snuff suede.  When they got down to just a few sizes they disappeared from the website too, although I've seen an odd size pop up occasionally - like the 8 and 12.5.  I was able to find them in December at the Chelsea store in NYC after the guys at the Ludlow Shop checked the inventory for me. I've seem both J Crew models, Snuff and Tan, show up on eBay.

Actually the first model was in Camel suede, not Tan.

Very doable.  I am a cigar PTB short of this.  Not likely to complete this combination any time soon. eh.gif

Reconsider the crepe, it's a casual make-up & can always be resoled at a later time. Here's a few pics of my LS #8 Ranger on the crepe.

Thinking about doing this to my #8 Wingtip Boots. What's the process? Is it reversible if I change my mind?
