There is usually fine print that excludes cordovan, special order, ect.

Doesn't hurt to try.  Worked for me on a 30% off promotion.

Given my love for all things Horween, I wanted to use one of their products when upholstering the seat. However, items like Cordovan and CXL are pulling a premium as of late. So, i've decided to go with a natural Horween 'horse strip'. As most of you know this is what is left after the cordovan shells are cut away. It may be a little think and stiff for the application, but i'm up for the challenge!

Here is a shot of the strips. With an 18lb West Highland Terrier thrown in for scale confused.gif

I figured out of anyone, you guys can appreciate my insanity.

My girlfriend just shook her head when i told her the plan. shog[1].gif

I know it is not a pull-up, but i hope arse sweat and indigo will patina the hell out of the leather.

So, if there's a Ravello LWB in my size, I should buy it, right? Even if I already have a tan-ish CXL LWB? And even if I'd prefer some kind of Ravello boot if I had the option?

only if you want it ^

ravello boot > all

I haven't received any irregular offerings (in 9D and 9.5D, if that matters) for several months now. Have I been dropped from their list? Have others been receiving these?

I feel like this boot trumps all. Better than the day tripper and the #4 cap toe imo.

I need some Plaza in my life

englade321, we're rare breed on this forum.

You are exactly right. My avatar is a shot of a hydrauic cylinder/ linear actuator; I'm a hydraulics technician.

TBH, probably not.

Guys-legislative update from Capitol Hill. Last night, the Lujan-Grisshom amendment was defeated in the farm bill debate. The amendment was to defund inspection of horse meat plants, effectively ending slaughter of horses and this no domestic shell. Anyway, I don't know what will happen in the next few months, but for now, it probably would be helpful to call and get your representatives stance on horse slaughter, as a disruption in the supply of horse meat supply chain will inevitably cause a further shortage in shell! Just my two cents from DC.
