Alden NY told me the same thing. I really don't see much shell anywhere. I'm curious as to how it seems to be that AE has plenty of models in shell?

Enough said...can we get back to specifically discussing Alden shoes, cordovan shortages, last sizes and stuff related to our feet instead of war of the words?

See Ya,

just got in the Indy 404s in from Rooney out of Montreal. these things are built like a tank! talk about a commando sole, these with the Vibram full commando sole mean serious business.

i'll use them for things like hiking and the snow or just when i want to fake it by looking outdoorsy.

ship out and shipping to the USA was fast, only a few days. right boot was clearly tried on in the store and walked around in. oh well, not a big deal.

i would not hesitate to order from them again, although will have to remember to use a credit card that doesn't charge me a foreign transaction fee next time. mwink[1].gif

Looking great Uncle!  Do you have the BB version also?  Which do you prefer, BB or the 974?  I regret not pulling the trigger with the BB version back when they had my size! Will probably snag the 974 if the right price shows up on ebay.  Wear in great health my friend!

nephew,
thank you
my original wt was the bb version which i do not have, never replaced because
i prefer the alden version because i like the fit better and the bb version has metal eyelets
which version you obtain, you will not be sorry. you should have a wt in your wardrobe

She wanted to apologize profusely, but couldn't because she's got other issues. The appropriate sanction is death of course. Short of that has anyone been able to train their significant other to properly buff shell cordovan shoes? :-)

nephew,
if your friend scratch your rembrandt that is a major issue, if she scratch your shell not an issue because they are only shoes
