I have to tell you, defender worked great, I wiped the shells down in the car, looked at them tonight and not a blemish to be found... Stuff works great... Thank you Alden!

Glad your shells continue to look wonderful, Calceo. I'm now very glad about having purchased the Alden LD during a recent JCrew sale. I think I need to pick up an additional one for the car. My wife already thinks I'm weird for keeping a shine brush and polishing cloth in the car. She just doesn't understand that anywhere is a fine venue for a quick Mac Method touch up...

just got back in town, had a couple boxes waiting for me.. excuse the poor photos (and non alden content), snapped them with my phone in horrible lighting. will try for better photos in the weather cooperates tmrw

ravello nst from shoemart (nice of them to include the leather shoe horn smile.gif )

brown 3 eyelet boat shoe from http://www.newenglandouterwear.com. great group of guys, already planning a couple more options for the coming months

patriot factory brown shell seconds from AE. i think the "defect" are some lines across the toebox. a non issue to me as the creases will set in anyway

second pic shows the discounted AE burgundy shell belt i also received (lying on the shell patriots). was hoping it would match with my alden #8 but its clearly lighter. not sure I'm i'll keep this one..

Do you really believe that? To quote al Pacino from the Godfather III " just when I think I'm out....they pull me back in ".

ravello chukka

ravello lwb

cigar lwb

plus the thor boot if it comes to fruition, but I dont count that lol..

from there, may dip into suede options but doubtful..

will then just grab some calf/CXL stuff from LS or moulded here or there..

shell pricing is getting out of hand for me tbh

thanks englade321, I think nordstroms carries that brand. I'll give them a try next time I go.

They are exorbitant in price by my standards for denim, but my girlfriend likes them. EP's got a Walt Slim taupe colored trouser in wool/linen & silk which looks real nice.

be, I'm hooked on epaulet. I met Mike at a trunk show in los angeles, he is a very nice guy.

Once that has been decided it will then be how slim of a leg and how tapered of an opening you want. Is this madness starting to sound familiar?? I am happy to make suggestions or help direct any way that I can.

slippery slope is right rydenfan. I want 1 or 2 nice pairs of jeans, i'm afraid of finding out too much about denim and ending up with yet another expensive habit.

thank you all for your advice.

It is getting a bit ridiculous I have the ravello chukkas already but I would trade them for color four cap toes. Someday I suppose.

^ Epaulet is set to release a new denim option next month smile.gif

Not sure of the details yet, but if you like their stuff I'm sure they will be good.

k, not sure where to score the ravello you're looking for, but have you tried AofC for the cigar lwb? I bought 8.5D from him about 2 months ago. At that time, he wasn't advertising his stock of cigar lwbs on the website...

Best of luck in finding the shells!
