they don't but i called and talked to someone. also. you can figure it out on some because the list the alden model, which are stock so just searching you can see that the navy suede PTB for instance is the same as the Alden Madison which is on the barrie.

hmm - maybe i am wrong, but isn't Alden Madisons Chukka on the Leydon last and unlined compared to Roden Grays lined one on the Barrie last?

+1 Creasing always looks so minimal, which is crazy since I know a some of Mac's shoes are 30+ years old.
Zippy - I know this has been asked a million times, but who sells those navy suede chukkas? Was it just Tassels or was there another place that sold something similar? I really need a pair of blue suede something.

I've seen them at Alden Madison Ave. What attracted me to the Tassels version was that it was in Barrie vs the usual Leydon (I'm not sure what last Alden Madison has).

I too was very disappointed that our MTO Whiskey Indy was not made to our specs. One would think that after 8 months of waiting...
Anyway, I passed on mine, so there is a 10D available if anyone wants it. Give Kathy a call...

It seems to me with the insane popularity Alden has had over the past 5 years that they have developed a "Jesse James West Coast Chopper mentality". Back when West Coast blew up on the early 2000s the demand was so great for their bikes (Motorcycles) that even though you were paying MTO prices they TOLD YOU what bike you were getting...and if you didn't like that, there was someone else right behind you who would.

Highs in the low 60s this weekend, lows in the upper 40's. Time to break out the suede for the first time all season this weekend...

This is very tempting... Only question is are whiskey chukkas and whiskey indy's redundant... I may also inquire about the color 8 Indy from LS...

I own the whiskey chukka & will be purchasing the whiskey Indy, but don't look to me for moderation when it applies to Alden shell. If you look at the LS blog Tom states that he has only a 6.5D & 10.5D left in the #8 Indy. You snooze, you lose @ LS.

Yeah... #8 seems readily available in various forms... Whiskey is rarer... I may have to jump on those...

This one of the reasons I wish there were more alternatives to Alden. They seems to be the only people doing casual boots right. Redwing, Wolverine, and the others have such ugly clunky toe boxes. I wish someone else offered a sleek work boot like Alden.

thanks, for clarifying...so in addition to being done with speed hooks, they also chose to not use a 360 welt...

Correct, I talked to Kathy about that and she was unaware of the 360 degree welt. We wound up with the welt that's on the 403 & 405 models the storm welt.

I can understand being disappointed in not getting exactly what was ordered, but I like the close heel better than the 360.

Here's mine from LS.
