U sure about that?

Which store?

After wearing my #8 captoe boots for the 5th time I have come to the conclusion they are just not working for me.  I am not sure if I have the sizing wrong or the Grant last is not for me.  I guess I will throw them up for sale or something.  I am pretty sad though.  They are my first and only pair of cordovan, and they are such good looking boots.

I bought a pair and I'm pretty sure they're Barrie.

That is most unfortunate. What is the problem, exactly? Also, what size?

I know.  They aren't comfortable on my feet and my knees get sore after wearing them.  My Indy's bother my knees occasionally, but they don't hurt my feet like the captoes.  They are 9D.

I need to get to someplace that can really measure for Aldens, but unfortunately I live in North Dakota.  There are zero options here and not even a great place in Minneapolis.

Just took my shoes out for cleaning/brushing. My gf drove her heel into my shoe in Vegas and there's a dimple/divot/mark off the cap on the front end of my shoes. Any ideas on how to smooth this one out?

Is it time to buy a deer bone?

Looking to grab a pair of Alden Tassel Loafers from a fellow member sized 9C/E. Would these fit me if I wear 9D in Barrie Long Wings?

I was in Houston back in January and saw them there.  I suppose it is possible that they were old stock color 8 that looked darker and more brown than usual, but the dark brown edge I am pretty sure of, which makes me think the dark brown shell is correct.  Color 8 LHS typically come with black edge.  Also, the soles were significantly thicker than the shell tassel mocs that sat next to them on display.  Could it be that C&J or another maker produced this model?

Now, hold on there cowboy. I live in MPLS and I bought my first Alden's here at Hubert White on the Nicollet Mall. I think if you've gotten your foot measured with a brannock device any competent pervayor of Alden shoes can translate that number into the proper size for any last available. New dress shoes do take a bit to break in.

You will have too much heel slippage IMO. And they may also be too short.
