I believe Alden still makes the polish clothes. When I went back the person helping me told me that they were no longer selling them individually and they were only in the polish kits. I took it as the store was going to no longer stock them individually.

That's a bit strange since they sell them individually on their website.

I've not heard of them and just wondering.

I've had good experiences with them, they often have good deals on lbm 1911 stuff.

question - is a cordovan NST shoe better on the aberdeen or barrie last?

My preference for NST is always Aberdeen

I would say this is entirely a question of how the various lasts fit your feet.

well for example in barrie, 1/2 size down from what i measure on the brannock seems just about right.

I just stumbled across these online at Pelle Line.  The photos are pretty terrible.

Gentlemen, given a choice between three different Alden LWB's, a #8 cordovan, a black cordovan, or a snuff suede, and you didn't own any of them, which one would be your pick?

Color 8 remains my absolute favorite,  don't underestimate how well color 8 can patina!

Check this out, from Leather Soul's site, here are some 12 year old color 8's (probably these were not polished with Color 8 wax).

They seem to look almost like Cigar, Whiskey and Ravello all in one:
