Dude, you could post this rant in every thread in every interweb forum that has ever existed or will exist. You're spitting in the wind.

*(Well then Fido got up off the floor, and he rolled over
and he looked me straight in the eye
And you know what he said?
"Once upon a time, somebody say to me"
This is the dog talkin' now
"What is your, conceptual, continuity?"
"Well I told 'em right then", Fido said
"It should be easy to see
"The crux of the biscuit
is the apostrophe"
Well you know, the man that was talking to the dog
looked at the dog, and he said
Sort of staring in disbelief
"You can't say that"
he said
"It doesn't, and you can't, I won't, and it don't
it hasn't, it isn't, it even ain't, and it shouldn't
it couldn't"
He told him, "No, no, no"
I told him, "Yes, yes, yes"
I said, "I do it all the time
Ain't this boogie a mess"?)

That is definitely not just a humble collection, it looks awesome! Would you mind breaking down which models you have?

[/quote]

Cigar looks awesome ughhhh.

Thanks David3558. That's very kind of you.

The boots, from L to R: LeatherSoul Ultimate Indy, Alden of DC Color 8 Grant Cap Toe boots, & LeatherSoul Alpine Grain boots on the Barrie.

The shoes, from top of pyramid to bottom (going L to R), include: Cigar LHS from Alden of DC, JCrew waxed tobacco brown LWB (no, not CXL), Epaulet CXL LWB on the Leydon (just came yesterday), Cigar shell lwb from Alden of Carmel, JCrew snuff suede LWB, & Color 8 LWB from citishoes (sadly, no antique edging, but still gets the most wear in the rotation).

I'm definitely planning on the snuff suede Leydon flex welt chukkas next, perhaps to be followed by the snuff suede UPLs on the van. My checkbook says to go with the AE Spiaggia instead of the JCrew white suede LWB. Do you guys see a reason to go with the Alden sickness over the AE?

Also, if anyone finds whiskey lwbs like the ones I regretfully passed on a couple months ago, please let me know!!

Have a great weekend!

Thanks for providing details, your collection is awesome! I hope to be very, very close to having a big LWB collection. So far these are the LWB's I've got:

  • J.Crew Snuff Suede
  • Leffot Kudu on Plantation Crepe
  • Black Shell - 9751
  • Color 8 Shell - 975
  • Whiskey Shell (Alden of Carmel; incoming!)
  • Ravello Shell (incoming!)

All I'm wanting at this point is to find a pair of Cigar LWBs and possibly add a few more suede and CXL variants into the mix. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

If you're going to get a stick up your ass about apostrophes, it is worthwhile to point out you misspelled "purpose" wrong.

"It is THEIR puropose"

Communication on the Internet is often written in shorthand, as was some of the content in your awesome message. Someone might get a stick up their ass about you mispelling words and using CAPS ALL THE GODDAMN TIME WITH A BILLION EXCLAMATION MARKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ffffuuuu.gif

Live, let live, and let's keep it about shoes on here. Did you know grammar nazis are the 5th ring of hell in Dante's inferno?

If you're going to get on your grammatical high horse you want to make damn sure what you say is correct. Apostrophes are also used to denote contractions, such as 'can't, I'll' etc. Furthermore it is acceptable to use an apostrophe when you are pluralising an individual letter such as mind your p's and q's.

And like all good rules in english, there is an exception for your rule about denoting possession: its = belonging to it - it's = it is.

hi all, I want to buy the Alden x Jcrew suede in 7.5D US but i'm size 6UK in raf simons and common projects sneakers (sorry for the reference), are them fit me? thanks

Going to be wearing these regularly to darken them up faster hopefully. Carmine's shade of Nat CXL is pretty sharp, wonder what they use to treat the leather after they get them from Chi-town...

I also take 40 and 6uk in bramd you mentioned

If you are talking about barrie last lwb or ptb, you will need 6.5us which jcrew never offers

Hi David,

Sounds like quite a LWB collection you've got going already. If it's not too much trouble, would you mind posting pics of the Kudu/Crepe lwb? It sounds like a fun combo.

Do you know if Adam at AofC has any more whiskey?

Where did you score a ravello lwb?

Re CXL variants, Kathy at DC tells me she has some Blue CXL lwbs left. May be worth checking in with her...

Regards,

D
