Yeah, they will also give you an original box, new laces and shoe bags without any proof of purchase just because.

It is sort of funny to me that today is April Fool's. Last week I was in DC visiting family and friends. I took the liberty to step away from the festivities to visit the Alden store in DC. My goal was to determine my Barrie last size. For me, pardon the pun, this was no mean feat. I have a very wide arch, a very flat and wide fore-foot and narrow heels.

Within a few minutes Kathy had my Barrie last size down and had my trying on shoes in every other last. We spent over an hour and a half trying shoe after shoe in style after style. I now know what I wear in every last. Props to Kathy who, quite unhurriedly, spent the entire time pushing me to try them all. In the end I rewarded myself with one of the shoes I have always wanted -- the Color 8 Shell Cordovan Chukka boot. I had the boots shipped to me and the arrived today --low and behold-- they still fit. Thanks, Kathy!

No. You have to call or email the shop to see what they have in stock.

They had just a few pairs .. They told me it wasn't a full stock - just a few odd pairs that were delivered from the factory recently. I got lucky I guess and they had my size.
