No.  I don't even know if that is really true.  But when I read that, people were speculating that Alden is really quirky about marketing in addition to just about everything else.

No, these have not been confirmed by Alden. According to Yenni she received confirmations on repeat orders but no new makeups. the 6 eyelet is a new makeup, it is on the Barrie last with a commando sole. I am on the list for it as well and think it will be a great makeup.

It won't stretch per se, but will loosen up, which does tend to make it feel a bit larger over time.

how thick of a sock were you wearing? I am always amazed at how much the feel of the fit changes based off the sock I am wearing. I do match up particular thicknesses to particular pairs...

How snug? is the question?

And where are they snug?  What part of your foot?

Agree. I can literally wear either an 8D or 8.5D LWB equally well, depending on the thickness of the socks I'm wearing.
