As promised a short how to on dealing with indy boot tongue wander
1. you will need a piece of thin leather cut 1/2-3/4 inches wide and long enough to wrap around the tongue almost touching end to end

2. wrap the leather strap around the tongue at spot you want it .holding it in place close boot to @ where it goes when laced and mark the strap thru the lace hole with a marker
3. punch holes in the strap at marked spot
if you dont have a leather punch you might have access to a paper hole punch at
at any rate you gotta get a couple holes in strap somehow
4. rather than try to explain how to lace the strap into posistion ill post a couple pic that show it

sorry for the crappy pics all
i got is an i phone i hope you get the idea
an alternate to this method that works good is to put on your boot and mark the tongue thru two eyelet holes one above the other on one side
punch small holes just big enough to pass a needle at each mark
then stich a strong thread thru the upper eyelet thru the tongue into the lower hole out thru the lower eylet repeat thru the upper eye and so on
after the tongue "resets" you are just left with a couple small holes in the tongue
oh be sure the boots are laced when you do this otherwise its pretty difficult to pass the laces thru after the tongue is stitched to the eyelets
I hope this ramble is understandable I have used both methods and they work well
dont hesitate to ask if anything is not clear im more than happy to help
