HAHA - Jeez, just saw them. The picture's pretty awful so it came up as pretty much burgundy and I assumed it was shell. Do you know if this is the same shade as brown they use on the Indy's?


Thanks - I'm going to take a better look at the snuff - I think the color is more versatile but the single leather sole is a little unfortunate, as I am a fan of the hardier soles

I have the dark brown calf LWB.  I think they are probably similar to the dark brown Indies, if not darker.  They are a solid calf offering; I bought brand new off of ebay for $325 about a year and a half ago.  They are the ones to the left (next to the tobacco). Good luck!

I'm too fickle to really have a favorite, but my #8 NST Tanker boots from Context Clothing get worn far more than anything else in my collection, all year round. My suede chukkas and my cigar LWBs would also be near the top of my list.

I want an Alden Whiskey Tanker just so I could call it a 'wanker'. 

^ the reviews of AoC seem to be split about 50/50 here, but I've seen enough bad ones to ever bother ordering from them. If there is a huge cosmetic flaw with the shoes I'm sure you will be allowed to return them, and they are sticklers for quality there, so it's doubtful you will receive a pair with a scratch or anything like that. But if they don't fit, looks like you're screwed....

Honestly, that whole exchange sounds ridiculous to me. You have to use a money order for the new pair?? I guess this is so that you can't cancel the order through your credit card company if you were unhappy with the purchase? If I were you I'd take my refund and buy the shoes somewhere else, that is unless you are buying a specific makeup that you can't find at another retailer.

 

Sounds like they actually went beyond their normal return policy for you:

You won't get a dud Adam checks thoroughly. You just probably did something to set off his warning bells as he is 100% no nonsense. Next time if you're iffy order from Shoemart to gauge then order from AoC

I've never had any issues with Adam and service has always been top notch

I would say beyond if all he wanted was a refund but he just asked for a size exchange the refund was there idea and then a request for a money order which is not stated in there return agreement. I agree that my experience has always been pleasant but then again I always taken what I got. If I had emailed and was told sure no problem we can exchange a unworn pair for a diffrent size and then got a well you have to reorder money order only I would be done dealing with them all together. Now maybe I don't know all the details though
