One of the reasons I have issues with ordering from them. The tedious process of clicking on every shoe only tl be denied over and over again. It's like asking out every girl in high school and being turned down. Simply advertise what you have in stock. There now I feel better

I saw those and really like them. I would be ordering them but I just got a very similar custom makeup from Tricker's last fall. I also like the fact that Leffot seems to be ordering more Alden in E widths (and allowing for it more often in their pre-orders).

WTB from TSM. I hope to own it eventually, but its one of the best looking makeups Alden offers imho.

Because you can achieve the WT look with Ravello LWBs, I would keep the Captoe day

is out there??)

Agreed love captoes particularly in ravello.

in my experience. the alden commando sole is VERY soft. i woke my indy's every day for 1 week on a cross country road trip and the heels already started to curve upward. went to be nelson and had heel taps hammered on. seems ridiculous on commando sole boots. but man, these are soft soles.

Indeed. biggrin.gif

Ravello Shell Alden 2259; captoe blucher on Aberdeen (same syle as 2160 (color 8) and 2161 (black shell) and 24802 (cigar)).

It's maybe my favorite ravello dress shoe. I am aware of no retailer who carries it now, or who has carried it in the recent past.

Thanks. Yeah, my non commando (neo cork of whatever stock is) soled Indys are holding up exceedingly well. I was curious about getting a commando sole pair but may not now.

i think the only concern is the heels. again, my experience is the following: the toes aren't an issue. the toes will likely not experience odd wear. due to the lift from the commando studs, you have a solid buffer on the toes. i am VERY hard on my toes. i curve steel toe taps, and i haven't experienced odd toe wear on the commandos. unless you drag your feet, the whole sole will not experience odd wear. they are soft, but again, unless you drag your feet, they should be fine. the heels are really the only issue and this is easily solved by plastic heel taps for $3. i love the commando. very sticky and good grip. the heel is the primary concern, but it's solvable.

Speaking of which, the stock "Foot Balance" heel on the Indy boots (non-commando sole) seem really very sturdy and seem to last a long time.
