I'll email Alden about the model.

My quest to buy Alden laces.
I'm trying to get a pair of brown, dress, boot laces. Just like the ones on the Pitt boot below.
Do any of you happen to know the "style number" of this exact boot, so that I might pass that onto the nice "firstname.lastname@example.org" email person?
Thanks in advance,
I havn't managed to size myself in the various Alden lasts yet.
From what I understand (correct me if need be) sizing shoes and boots dont neccessarily translate.
for example if i knew i was a 12E in a Barrie in an Captoe Boot, I wouldn't necessarily be a 12E in a LWB or a LHS - and this is without the Calf / CXL / Shell complications
Tried on some TruBalance CXL Indys a year ago that were IIRC 9 no idea what width (stupidly i wasnt paying attention to size or width). They were snug.
I hope to soon purchase the 403 model in Brown Chromexcel (Indy boot); however, after doing some research I have had some lingering concerns with sizing. Where I currently reside, there is no retailer that readily stocks the boots, hence, I will not be able to try them on. For comparison, I wear an 8.5 - 9 in most RW boots and an 8.5 in Clarks DBs; though I am unaware of my width as I have never made a shoe purchase that demarcated such.
In a word, how does the standard D width fit the average person's feet? Rather large? Rather small? (I understand how relative this is, but I would like a consensus.)
