hopefully they turn out like this. I should note that I asked Adam to give me the pair with the lighest edge trim if they had multiple pairs in my size.

That said, if I recall correctly, Mac has reminded us that these, in the end, are shoes, not Rembrandts.

One more Indy question: are you guys ever up for using colored flat laces? I bought a pair of red benjos, but not sure if it presents too much color. Indy boot seems not to be the type of boot to dandify. Extra thanks for anyone who can offer opinions on colored laces with LWBs, shell or otherwise. Thanks in advance!

No - but my Indys are black shell.

was at the doctor's office today, assistant had to take my measurements and watched me fiddle for 30 seconds taking off both of my indy boots.

her: "wow, those look like heavy duty boots"

me: "yea, wish i could keep them on for the height measurement"

her: "those are like combat boots, but cute"

me: "uh huh"

I've gotten more compliments on the street on my cigar indys than any other shoe i wear .Funny as i've never thought of them as being that "noticeable "

Not sure if this has already been noted but the current BB sale includes cordovan ($100 off purchases over $500, $200 off purchases over $800). I felt obligated to order a pair of LHS for BB in #8.

As to the issue of using colored laces I'm all for it. When partnered with matching socks, I prefer argyles, I've always gotten compliments, especially from the ladies. They are definitely a conversation starter which draws interest and positive attention to a gentleman's footwear. Putting in coloured laces is a good reminder to buff your shoes before stepping out. It's also just a fun thing to do.

My other ankle boots only have 5-7 holes/hooks ... the 10 featured on my Indy's do seem excessive.

Thanks, Be. I've had similar experiences. Women enjoy playful socks and laces apparently.

Nothing bores a lady more than a man who takes himself too seriously.

my indys in 11 are perfect.

Ended up getting another pair of the snuff suede boots in a half size up from my indy's and they fit much better.

Great look...

What is the best place to get colored laces? I want to put in a order for a bunch of pairs.

Frans Boone has the best laces I have seen but I can't justify shipping laces from Europe...
