I've kicked the tires on a few saddle models... The only one I have are the Leffot white suede / black patent leather saddles. It's a pure novelty shoe, but it grabs a lot of attention. Very hard to keep them clean. Let's see how much I wear them this spring / summer...

Like others that have posted on this thread, I wasn't completely sold on the brass eyelets on the J.Crew Ravello LWBs. Took them a cobbler to have them replace brass with light brown, and am happy with the result!

^ nice. How much did that run you?

This greatly improves the shoe. Much more elegant with the matched eyelets

^ i disagree. i thought it freshened up a classic without altering the character. just looks like another really nice shoe, now

but im biased. if i had an eyelet machine i would put brass eyelets on several pairs

I haven't had a chance to wear the reverse chamois Indy boots yet, other than to try on and sort of break in, but they are very comfortable. I have suede Indys that I think are much more comfy than the CXL ones I used to have or my whiskey shell or #8 Indys, and these reverse chamois ones are almost as comfortable as the suede. Very flexible and considerably more lightweight - as far as Indy boots go anyway.

I ALMOST pulled the trigger on those.  They look great, but even the best photos dont come close to doing the leather justice.  Reverse Chamois is incredible.  Let us know how you like them as you wear them.

Also, after finally ending my Alden sizing adventure and discovering my true size, I have decided to get rid of my too small Cigar PTBs.  Hopefully they find a good home with someone here on the fourm.

Thanks Alcibiades and NAMOR.

He charged me $30 all in but I got a deal since I brought in a few other shoes to be re-soled.
He originally said staining/painting would have done accomplished the same goal as well.

Not my cup of tea, but my boss wears something in the same colors, or very similar, nearly everyday all year long. I believe his are Allen Edmonds.

Agree. The brass eyelets are what attracted me to the shoe. To each his own eyelets, as the saying goes.
