That LS medallion toe boot looks odd to me without the perforated cap. With the cap, that would be a killer.

A question for the members though.....if there are not initially any pressure points will the leather still stretch? I am asking because they fit perfectly right now but if they were to stretch much they may end up being loose.

I really dig how these look and am considering a pair myself. How does the Van compare in sizing to say the Barrie? I could imagine going down a half size due to no laces but am wondering if that is the case? Also curious in regards to width.

Not sure which you're referring to, but Alden SF by phone, and Leather Soul by e-mail/phone. Alden SF doesn't post exotic shell online

oops, didn't see it on there before, nor the cigars they have in stock, so assumed they didn't post exotics online.

I agree this boot should have all eyelets, but....

1. No one will see the speedhooks with trouser leg down.
2. You can convert the hooks post-sale to all eyelets.

Thanks Alcibiades!  My intent has been to select carefully for a focused collection.

Thanks Repp!  They're actually the walnut shell strands AE released a couple of years back.

I had the same sizing question about the LHS. None other than Uncle Mac himself posted that if I wore an 11D in my Barrie size I would be an 11D in the Van. Of course he was right.

Does anyone have the Dark Brown Kudu Chukka boot?

Curious to see what they look like in real life.

Seems like a good casual shoe to wear.

Guys with wider feet - have you tried EE widths in Barrie? Alden SF is listing a lot of inventory in those sizes for the whiskey longwings

I've got a few pairs in EE on the barrie, shame they don't have any longwings in #8.
