Probably going to drop on those plaza lasted cap toe boots in #8.

My brown flex welt chukkas should be here soon.

What would everyone think about a plaza lasted high vamp loafer, half lined/unlined in #8 or black cordovan on the flex welt?

Loafers are coming back and this one is the best modern interpretation, combining the JW original with the Alden touch. Will look great with slim raw denim and a t or with an oxford and khaki shorts, mid summer, while after a quick buff slip under a suit for a night out.

I really like the idea a half-lined plaza lasted high vamp loafer in #8.

But I don't understand the concept of black loafers, shell or otherwise. It just never made sense to me.

Shouldn't be any customs/duties on US made goods re-entering the US.

Chromexcel is characterized by a rich pull-up in full aniline, hand rubbed finishes. Made to this day with old world craftsmanship, modern Chromexcel carries on a long history of superior comfort and durability.

Pull-up – A temporary lightening in color achieved by bending leather. This is caused by the temporary displacement of oils, greases, and/or waxes.

The Roy Boot, a collab between Context and Alden, is another boot that uses this leather. I can't speak from personal wearing experience, but both the Chromexcel Indy and the Roy are very nice to look at, esp when broken in.

The new version is also leather lined rather than fabric lined.

I've been battling myself on either buying the anniversary or longwings in #8

yeah the longwing is a must have period ... so if you dont have that i recommend that one first

Not sure on that but I've been there in person awhile ago and picked up some boots there more recently and I can't recommend them enough. Really great service, super knowledgeable and fashionable staff, and "aware" of the fashion and footwear community at large. I was going to get my boots with Shermanbrothers 10% off discount but definitely feel like I came out better getting them at Tassels.
