Nick will tell you the same, that if you are going to get Topys there is no reason to get JR soles. You may want to get the JR heel though and do his regular leather soles with the Topy and metal toe plate.

FWIW, Reno and brushing is all I do to my CXL Indys (to ChakMak's question above^^^).

Just got these in from ebay. Although they are actually 10.5 E rather than 11 D as listed, they seem to fit. They are lined suede on a commando sole on the Barrie. Still not sure if I should keep them though as I am afraid that the suede will loosen up and they will end up being to wide. I hate to send them back as they are essentially new. My only other Barries are shell chukkas that are an 11 D. Any suggestions?

Is anyone aware of retailers stocking cigar NST, even in other last/sole combinations? TSM does not have my size (9D) in their Barrie offering.

+1 Alden Madison NY received a shipment about 2-3 weeks ago no sure what they have left. Although the cigar indy's that were also part of that shipment are already gone.

Like other folks, I discovered Aldens after picking up some Indy Chromexl boots.  Now I am in the market for some Color #8 cordovan shoes to go with a dark navy suit.
 
So far I have my eye on some commando sole offerings from AoC.  I am looking at the commando sole versions because I live in the Sierra mountains and deal with 5+ months of snow per year.
 
So…. if you were to pick just one, LWB version
