I think they are sufficiently different to warrant keeping both. I had a pair of scotch grain wingtip boots that I really regret selling last year.

I'll ask the question: Is it unnecessary to have the DC Grant captoes in #8 and Cigar...as well as the AF60 in black!?

Called the 50 hudson jcrew store this morning and the last pair of those ravello lwb are shipping to seattle. Thanks for the heads up!

Unnecessary is in the eye of the beholder....

Wow, that's amazing. The entire stock of Alden LWBs sold at the Ludlow store?

The guy on the phone said "this is the last pair". I think this thread had something to do with that ;)

I have a pair of the DC Captoe in Cigar on their way to me! How do you find sizing on the Grant compared to the Barrie? Are you the same of different sizes?

Can anyone recommend a pair of overshoes to cover Alden boots? I am gettign a bit tired of wearing my LL Bean duck boots and then changing shoes when I get to work. Thanks!!

Swims seem to be popular, I believe leffot carries them.

I know Swims are popular but I just grap the $20 overshoes at the local cobbler. I tend to size up for the pair I use for my LWB and boots.

There was a post here yesterday by a user that was deleted by mods (I assume) that said he was a JCrew employee who was posting the rest of the sizes available at his store, saying that in the last 24 hours (about the time of the original heads-up post) the stock had just flown away via phone and email orders. Looks like it was cleared out w/in 2 days.
