Definitly return if it bothers you at all .I have a pair of ravello that has a very similar thing .Seems to be in the leather itself but I only paid 90 bucks for mine .At that price it is hardly noticeable.

I need help with a cordovan boot that has a waxy finish . I brush and brush and it doesn't get the bright shine that I see in all these other pics. They are C and J not Alden's but shouldn't they still shine up? Thank-you for the help

Wax them.

 

My AE Shell Leeds were very matte finish, but polished up with some Kiwi:

Aldens are finished nice and glossy from the factory.

Yeah I probably would have been happier with Alden's but nowhere close to get fitted , so I went with BB peals , big screw up I think . Thanks for the help though,also I read here where you shouldn't use much polish

Consensus is to use "Paste Wax" not "Cream Polish".  (Just wanted to make sure you knew)  And you are correct, less is more.

It was just legalized recently. Horsemeat is certainly healthier than corn and soy.

If you are talking the current captoe shell boot BB sells (C&J for BB) - $998, you most likely will not be able to achieve the same level of shine of various Alden shells, no matter what you do. I have them. Mine shined nicely after an application of saphir reno, but still not to the level of some of my Alden shells. Don't worry about it .... they are still great boots.
