i would recommend calling the company to discuss this matter. i am competent that they will resolve the problem in your favor

Also have had excellent experience similar to uncle mac. When I send them shoes, I typically include a courteous letter explaining what I would like done, my billing information, and return address. Have done this more than a handful of times and things have always turned out well.

It appears that the Shoe Mart has several Alden models on sale.  Not sure about size availability, though.

Looks fantastic with the hints of red in your pants. I am on Day 3 of The Method with my own #4's.

Color 4 Wingtips, both in inside and outside light (though a cloudy day). Sorry the outside shot is a bit blurry.

I have a pair of Indy 405 Jcrew make up and also the Jcrew Alden Perforated Captoe in Color 8.

Just in case I run into a sale... what would be a good next pair?

I was thinking a Plain Toe Blucher or Longwing Blucher or LHS.

does anyone wear their LHS sockless?

I think if J crew ever accidently does the 30% off (think it will be for a long while), I will get their cap toes and sell my plain shoemart cap toes.

Does the alden leather get stinky after a while wearing sockless? My cavnas shoes I go sockless are smelly.

I have the odor eaters insoles for my Tod's driving loafers that I wear sockless.  They have active carbon in them, and are pretty thin.  They help absorb a lot of the moisture.  I also don't wear them every day.

Just a thought.

I bet any shoe you wear sockless everyday will get funky.  The smelly foot bacteria thrives in moist environments.

Also, you could consider those "loafer socks"
