Not trying to be disrespectful to anyone here, as we all have our tastes, but I do not find the Indy Boots to be attractive at all. For me, I simply can't get over the toe box, as they remind me more of Fred Sanford, even though Indiana Jones actually wore them.

Never been a big Indy Fan but the Epaulet Milkshake and that Whiskey Indy are catching my attention inlove.gif

Anyone know what last this is on?

^Modified last, I'd think. Interesting that it has a neoprene cork sole.

Doesn't the stitching on the heel, and also the heel itself suggest Modified?

(I'm more asking than telling)

Ha, it's not an issue I get fired up about personally, as I couldn't be less interested in discussing people or more interested in discussing Aldens. Some people - like my lady - think the mere fact a bunch of dudes sit around posting about their rabid obsession with a particular brand of shoes is weird. To each their own I guess!

That said, I enjoy the banter here, and have had some pleasant chats with a lot of folks, learned a lot of stuff, and engaged in several excellent business transactions via the forum. All good IMHO.

The only reason they are in the movie is because Harrison Ford himself swore by them while he was working as a carpenter, prior to becoming a big time actor. He insisted that he wear them for the film as well. He apparently has really wide, flat feet or something, so they fit his feet well.

The fit and look of the Indy boots is definitely not for everyone though the look has become a bit fashionable nowadays. Keep in mind, they were originally orthopedic boots.

Ah, too bad, since I'm an 11 D on the Barrie, and as far as I know Barrie and Modified last sizes are usually the same.

Good luck El Argentino. Provided what I said above is true, I'd probably be bidding against you if they were 1/2 size smaller.

Can someone confirm that Ravello is gonna start to appear again in a year. Had some loot set aside for the WT or CT boot, but the well is definitely running dry from the looks of it.

I have leather and chromexcel Indy boots on commando soles - when put on the commando, the Indy becomes an attractive wet weather / snow / light hiking/walking boot. I see a lot of Indy boots in NYC worn with jeans and sweaters or blazers, which also seems to work.
