Cigar NST on Aberdeen from Alden NYC

I did about a triple take when I saw these as I thought they were some kind of novelty gold lame' show for New Year's.

The Aberdeen varies to begin with depending on style/material, and the slip on makes it more difficult since they need to be snug enough so you don't get excessive heel slippage. My advice would be 11D, but find a store that carries them or order from a place with a generous return policy.

I go with my regular aberdeen size but down one width.

Thank you all for allowing me to be a part of this warm and friendly Alden-SF family. I wish everyone here a prosperous and healthy year.  Happy New Year, and wear them in good health gentlemen!  cheers.gif

nephew,
happy and healthy new year

Two isn't so bad, but there were several other shoe purchases in 2012 and now I think I need to scale back. Well, at least stop buying...

Thanks in advance!

The best thing about the aberdeen last is that you can easily try them yourself at Brooks Brothers. They should have several sizes and widths in stock to give you an idea if it will work for you because it is a narrow last. Finding multiple size and width combinations of barrie, hampton, grant, etc in stock are not easy to find, especially if you are not near NYC, DC, SF or Norwalk, CT.

Gentlemen, Happy New Year!  I am still looking for two or three more people interested in doing a Kudu Indy boot on the Modified last.  Speed hooks, cork-neo sole, antique edge, and close heel.  The estimated price is $565 plus shipping from Moulded Shoe.

We are very close to securing this order.  Please PM me if interested. Thanks to all the SF members who have signed on so far.

Kudu is an exceptionally rugged and supple version of CXL.  It's hard wearing and looks great with denim. The Modified last is very forgiving and provides excellent comfort and arch support.  And again, we only need a few more people to secure this order.  My thanks again to everyone who has supported this MTO effort.
