Congrats! Very nice looking. In pics like this where the PTB looks stout and round I think about getting them. But then in other pictures they look longer and pointier which prevents me for doing so.

The shoes are beautiful and may be I'm the only one who might notice the difference.
Is it a common problem with Alden's light colour shells?
What would be the best way to make the colour of the two shoes more even by:
(1) exposing the darker right shoe in direct sun light and hope that it lighten up a bit
(2) using a darker paste wax for the lighter shoe (what colour?)
Any other suggestions? Thanks.
You'll probably never get them to be identical color. As many have said before, its just the nature of shell (color variation). You could try either of your ideas, but my prediction is that it will just change the color of the shoe, but not in a way that it will match its mate any better. You'll still just have two different colored shoes, and one is now a little lighter/darker than it was before. In the end, they won'd be any closer of a match.
If your one shoe was lighter because it was exposed to sunlight while the other was hidden in the box, it might work. But still I would be prepared to just live with it or get rid of them.
If anyone has ever been successful in getting two different shades of whiskey to match, please correct me.
