Even at retail, they're one heck of great pair of boots.

I like those a lot.....actually have them in my cart on J Crew right now with the hopes that another valid discount will come around before Christmas.  Are they Barrrie?

I just recently got engaged and my fiance got me these as an engagement/Christmas present.  Undoubtedly better than a watch IMO.  I am taking them through the Mac break in process.

Well...if you were going to have TWO boots, this is the other boot you would have.

Nice looking boot! Those sold out pretty quickly.

I think I may like the TSM's grant-lasted cap toe boot.  What would you recommend for "the one boot," SevenFTG?

Yes they are.

Every man needs at least one great boot. Your j.crew or the 4060 would be my pick. Don't over think it; don't trade them for another blucher.

ReppTie, Alden's cap toe boots are some of their best offerings... I think captoe boots fit well across a variety of different outfits (casual and more formal) and would be a great addition to your collection (if I recall correctly, your collection consists mainly of longwings).

Peronsally, the 4060 grant captoe in #8 is my one boot, though if I could have gotten the perf or even a medallion, I would have.
