That makes sense.
Yea, but if it rains on shell or you get caught in a down pour, yur going to look like an ass because you spent 700 on a pair of shoes that can get wet. Granted I have shell boot and I woun't dare wear them when its wet out... I have the J gilbert and have been caught in the rain and no little bumps or issues.
Overshoes are really easy.
I started with the J Crew Tobacco LWB. Four shell LWBs, two shell PTBs, a shell Cap Toe Boot, and one more calf LWB, and I can't help but look for more!
I would never wear a pair of tan bucks, unless I had to go to a warm-weather event where they were appropriate. I almost never have to go to such events, so I don't own a pair. Yet I'm considering getting a pair from J. Crew because at that price, you know, just in case ... Has my Alden sickness really reached such depraved depths?
I grew up wearing the suede buck. I jumped all over the Alden for J Crew version with this sale!
This is actually my first post on this forum, although I have been lurking for quite some time... I just wanted to thank all the contributors to this thread as I was able to properly downsize in the trubalance last on my first try and find the perfect fit for my Indys from Leffot (http://leffot.com/shop/alden-x-leffot-405c-pre-order/). On top of that, because of the Jcrew 30% off code that I was alerted to today, I was also able to use a my $100 gift card and get the #8 captoe for under $400 including tax.... This has been a great week to say the least, so I just wanted to say thanks!
