What if the boots are made of Shell Cordovan? With its less stretchy and probably thicker nature would going for the same size (i.e. not -0.5) work?
thanks in advance
I would not do that...in fact shell sometimes run larger than CXL counterparts.
I've gone a full size down in some shell Barrie shoes/boots and been OK and gone a 1/2 size down on shell LWB that felt huge to me. Not sure if it is that way they are made or not, but I have found that sizing can vary between shell and non shell on the same last depending on the shoe/boot.
This has not been my experience. In fact I've found the opposite to be true.
I've got a pair of CXL PTBs and a pair of suede wingtips which fit slightly looser than all my other barrie lasted shoes and boots.
All my other pairs fit more or less the same.
