I also purchased a pair of the cigar cap toe boots from alden DC.  my only other pair in cigar is the LWB, and if it's even remotely as awesome as those, i'll be a happy man...

Thanks for the pic Furo. I was curious as to what shade of ravello this run of the Day Trippers would be.

Looks like Alden did a great job at keeping it a true ravello.

x-post from Epaulet thread.

Apologies for semi-redundant question (I asked a variant this summer)...

I'm very tempted by the Natural Indys, esp w/ the commando sole. If I wear 10D in the Leydon last and it fits well, should I stick w/ it for True Balance or go down to 9.5D?

Just seems so odd to wear a 9.5--I'm a 10.5 in most things, and an 11 in running shoes.

A 9.5D on the Trubalance is going to be too wide if your Leydon size is a 10D

Just for reference, my Leydon size is a 7E. I own 6.5E and 6.5D sized Indy boots, and the D actually has some semblance of arch support and no heel slip, but on the E, my foot just seems to sit in the shoe. Heel sleep is massive and there is no arch support. The Trubalance is a massive last that scales pretty quickly.

So your equivalent is going from a 10D in Leydon to a 9.5C in Trubalance.

Unless you plan to wear thick socks (I personally could only use this as a temporary fix before the poor fit go to me altogether), it sounds like the Indys will be too wide for you. And yes I know getting a 9.5C wouldn't be possible, so it's up to you to decide how much standard deviation you can handle in fit. Hope I hlped with the reference

I know the original estimate was 9-16 months, so I'm hoping they're ready by next summer. But, you can never be sure with Alden wait times anymore.

I'm a 10.5-11 in Alden, 13 in Nike.

I'm an 11 in Nike, 10D in Barrie/Trubalance, and 10.5D in the Leydon. All fit comfortably.

Cousin's wedding

1000

Come the 15th I'll have the Day Trippers on my feet!

I'm thinking about investing in a pair of cordovan boots.
As there is hardly anything available right now, is it
likely that they come in stock more in November?

If so, might just have money ready to pull the trigger.

Any word on something coming up? Cigar or Ravello
somewhere?

I'm trying hard not to buy the Epaulet Brixton - that appears to be one of the best makeups available right now.

As to whether more will pop up for sale closer to the holidays, no guarantees.  There are lots of stories about shell shortages.  What exactly are you looking for?

I agree, great makeup. The edge they use here really looks fantastic.

If I hadn't had purchased 2 #8s and the Lindrick just recently I would certainly jump all over this one.

Has anyone been to Alden DC lately to see if they have any non catalog styles? Also thinking of of getting some long wing blouchers in suede. Thanks
