It works on the shell lwb like others have said. Type it in.

Tax negates a ton of the savings though, and crepe sole is a deal breaker.

Hey Stevent, there is a #8 LWB 10.5 on eBay I was countered $500 for, you should get that. smile.gif

Agreed.

If you are going with just one PTB, definitely go darker.

(RL Darlton wingtips, Alden x J.Crew chukkas).  Pretty happy with the fit 'N finish of both.

More pics of the Aldens (since this is the Alden thread, see the RL thread for more shots of those):

Don't really like #8, had two different pairs of #8 LWBs that I sold via eBay

What last are the non-shell Brooks Brothers loafers made on?

Anyone ever have J Crew cancel an Alden order placed during one of these sales, or have they honored their price?

I got my Chukkas just fine with my 25% code off, though the code was privately given and not a publicly announced.

Customer Service Note

I was having a horrible problem with my black calf NSTs from Moulded Shoe.  They had a VERY loud squeaking problem.  I sent them back to Moulded shoe, but they were unable to correct the problem.  I considered my options and decided to send them back to the Alden factory.  Alden called me the same day that they received the shoes.  The agent apologized for the issue and promised that they would "make it right".  He quoted a four week turn around to repair the shoes.

I just received them, three weeks later.  Alden did a full re-sole and refinished the uppers and put new laces on.  The shoes look great, and they are as quiet as quiet as can be.  I must say that Alden has been very good to me.  This is the second issue they have helped me with so far.  No fuss.  And no charge for the services.

As they should, you've bought so many pairs this year!

But seriously, I'm glad they were able to correct the issue, and pleased to hear that they cared enough to do so.

And I haven't even started with Alden shell!  I suspect I'll be adding a few more pairs to the stable!
