Just checked the Box. It shows Marlow. And for indication $ 795 - maybe this helps to figure out the age.

It may be that the earlier Marlow was a lighter color.  Not sure though...

Not a good day to wear these new blue suede plaza boots from J. Gilbert.
Needless to say, no natural light today. These look more purple with the flash than they actually are. In real life these are a gorgeous navy suede. Loving boots on the plaza last more and more.

I must say, that full strap is the only one I've every truly liked. I often find them far too elegant. I'd sport those in a heartbeat.
Nice wingtips too! icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif
Great post of a couple rare shells!

RAVELLO SWB in 9D (Barrie Last) from Leathersoul
http://leathersoulhawaii.com/2012/05/08/alden-shoe-ravello-shortwing-restock-lsw/#comments

I bought the SWB in May and have worn them a handful of times. Great shoe. I also have the Ravello captoe blucher on the Plaza Last with medallion toe. In all seriousness, I don't need both, and I have enough Barrie lasted shoes that I may be willing to part with the SWBs. If anyone is interested in the SWB (buy or swap; or combination), PM me. For a swap, I would be looking primarily for a model not on the Barrie and not on the Trubalance.

dope man.  I recently went to europe and almost left my indy's at home (sort of heavy and wanted to travel light), but good thing I didn't.  it rained a little and literally walked around in them for up to 8 hours and my feet felt fine.

So in general, one should size down by a half on Alden boots (J Crew versions also)?
