I'm waiting for mine right now as well.

It's well worth the wait however.

I'm glad I stopped by J Crew when I did. It is a solid makeup so it's not that surprising that they are backordered a bit. I hope the wait isn't too torturous.

heads up... O'connells is running 10% off on all Aldens through today. Their flyer says thru the 27th, so I'm hoping my order I just placed qualifies.

Where does TSM list their pre-orders. Or is it just that if they have model listed that's out of stock, one can call and pre-order it?

Do the prices listed already reflect the discount, or is there a code to use?

not sure. I believe those are regular price, as I vaguely remember some of them from previous viewing. I placed my order, and will sort it out on Monday. still need to get over the hurdle of confirming that my size is truly in stock.

I also took a screen shot of their flyer, just in case.

Alternatively I'm looking at the http://www.theshoemart.com/alden-mens_cap_toe_boot_shell_cordovan_black_shell/pvc-ald-mxs-4065_ald_m_cap_toe_boot_shell_cordovan.html
since its the closest to a PTB that i can find.
But a quick question, with no speedhooks, and just all eyelets, can i use the "tie around the ankle" method for the shoe laces ?

I own the 4065. I like it. And it is much more sleek than the barrie or trub.

My LS x Alden conservation boots are all eyelets.  The wrap around the ankle doesn't work quite as well without the speed hooks to anchor the laces.  They occasionally slip off.

Did Alden fix that? If so, that is a joke.
Now if your cobbler did it, then I say not bad!
