#8 LWB is an indisputable classic, so you really can't go wrong there.
The welting is different on these two as well, which has an impact on the appearance.

The NST on the Aberdeen will present itself much narrower in appearance than the LWB, both at the toe, and throughout the entire shoe.

NST (Aberdeen) or LWB.....
Thanks.

Either would work, as long as the one you chose is the one you like the most and it meets your needs.

Personally I would always chose the LWB first.

Got my first pair of Aldens, some beautiful Whiskey Indy's from Alden NY. Incredible boots, to say the least. Two days in and they already feel like butter. I fear this could be the beginning of an addiction..

Thanks. I've been set on a pair of lwb for a long time, but after seeing the nst in cordovan at a store I couldn't take my eyes off it. Something about that stitch. I live in NYC and rarely see the nst, whereas the lwb is almost as common as Gucci loafers, though I'd aff rightly so, it's a great looking shoe.

Still undecided so perhaps better leave it to whatever feeling presents itself in the alden shop.

Thanks! Once I saw them in person I couldn't shake them from my mind.

And here's an obligatory action shot:

It's funny... I've worn my whiskey boots shoes a lot more in the fall than I did in the spring or summer... Great boots

I am a fan of the NST on the Aberdeen. I have the Cigar and I am waiting on the Ravello from Shoe Mart (tracking the package hourly) LOL.
