Off the wall question: what is the smallest size Alden makes their Indys in? My wife would like a pair, but wears a 7 in women's running shoes, which would translate to roughly a 4 or 4.5 in Alden Indy Boots. Any thoughts?

I think a mens 6 or maybe 5.5 is the smallest size they make.. Being a woman I'd assume she would also need them in c or b width to boot. No pun intended
David Wood just got these in - I'm seeing that Jcrew ran them a while back but I love the concept - I bet the suede would look good with a bit of wear and tear
A man after my own heart.
I agree with you 100%. Best chance to get a narrow last or narrow width is to pre-order when Leffot, Alden DC, leathersoul, the shoe Mart, etc are just placing orders with Alden. A narrow lasted Barrie or trubalance looks and feels more refined even on a casual style like the indy. I've been able to get a 11.5c Barrie Ravello wingtip boot from tsm and a 12B cigar Indy from Leffot. Both fit a lot like an Aberdeen lasted boot in 12D
Aberdeen 12D on left. 12B Cigar Indy on right
Nice. Thanks for the tip. How do you keep up to date with what Alden DC is releasing?

I have a pair of these from Tassels Hong Kong - great shoes. And due to the dark suede, you feel more comfortable beating them up.
Funny and kind of true. IMO, the camel toe look is magnified by the Aberdeen last given that it is more pointy than many others.
If you had to rank your chukkas in terms of use, versatility, etc, how would you order them? My cigar chukkas are kind of a "light cigar" - I am thinking about swapping them out for color 8 given I already have a good amount of cigar.
