I bought that pair 1 year ago and it hasn't been removed since. I even called to 6 months ago to ask If it was available and they said it was a mistake

Haha awesome. It seems that no Alden retailer has great inventory systems. I just checked if they had cigar Indys in my size...nope. I then clicked on every single other size to see if anything was available...nope.

About a year and a half ago there was a ravello cap toe blucher on the modified last...hesitated... and now I kick myself often fot not pulling the trigger.

I've had good luck just brushing the scratches.  Otherwise a small dab of Venetian or Saphir.

These are excellent. A #8 perf cap toe is probably what I would get if I needed another balmoral. It would be awesome if Alden made a few balmoral boot styles.

Just picked up a pair of ravello plain toes on modified off the Shoemart irregular list. This is my first pair on the modified last so I'm interested to see how they fit. From what I've read they work well with high arches so I'm optimistic.
