So, you mean Dainite commando? Can you post pics. I think these on a honey colored dainite commando would be amazing.
I got my 405s back from Bnelson having resoled them to an English commando sole which has much thicker lugs than the stock Alden commando sole. The old sole had worn out. Pics below. They are very shiny again but they'll dull again once I put some wear on them.
I'm all for putting comando soles on boots. I have this vision of putting commando soles, along with antique welt and edgetrim, on the Jcrew perforated cape toe boot in #8. I should probably go do that now....

any reason to think a Barrie longwing might fit different than a Barrie nst in the same size? both shoes (not boots), both cordovan. longwing felt wider than the nst
