Question: I want a pair of plain toe Indy's in brown, but only see them offered in natural. Would it be possible to purchase them and then just dye the leather to get the darker color I want?

I know it seems like a lot of trouble but I can't find any plain toe boot in dark brown, with the exception of the roy boot. The problem with that is that I do not like the crepe sole.

um... i would advise against dying a brand new pair of almost $500 boots... have you heard of wolverine? great boots...

They really went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and that is something that I will definitely take with me moving forward, if I get hit with duties or fees of any kind I will think of it as an extra charge for unbelievable customer service which I will always pay a little extra for. Frans Boone is among the best I have dealt with.

Just buy a dark brown pair of Alden's.
PTB in a brown shade is not hard to find.
If you pay $500 only to immediately dye them, you won't be happy with the outcome.

Got my #8 wingtip boots today and they're gorgeous. They're a bit tight across the ball of my foot. Should I expect them to loosen up with wear, or try to size up? These are a 9.5D and the length is okay, but I could maybe do with a 10. Thoughts?

I am considering a pair of LWB.....does anyone have experience with the brown chromexcel? If so, could you provide some feedback about comfort, durability, versatility, etc?
