Yeah, I mean if you take them off and put them on the moving belt, do they give you grief when they see the piece of metal in your shoes?

No, they are shoes. Its fine. You can never underestimate the stupidity of the TSA agents though.

Don't worry about it and enjoy your vacation.

Aldens aren't the only brand with metal shanks.
I've never had a problem with any brand of shoes on the belt.
They're too busy looking for 1.00000001 mL of liquid.

I've put my 901's through the x-ray machine several times when travelling for work.  Never had an issue.

I'm just waiting for the day to come when they give me heck about it.

Although most people get the same in both.

So if I'm wearing 8.5 Trubalance should I go 8.5E barrie?

I was asked about shoe trees once, but never the shoes themselves

Same here. Of course, my standard Walgreens purchased toothbrush once confused TSA, so it's hard to say what they are going to do.

Most people don't, but YMMV. I comfortably wear 10D in both Barrie and Trubalance, and 10E/10.5D/10.5E in other lasts I have tried.

I assume the same under TB and Barrie, unless you tried them both on and considered otherwise.

It is great to see a pair of work boots treated like work boots not a pair of John Lobbs.  A fantastic pair of boots.

Just give a differing experience... I take a standard D-width in the Trubalance (I fill it out fully through the pinky toe) and a D-width Barrie is too narrow. I think the thing to note is that most people don't fully fill out the Trubalance.

Interesting to see a 360 degree welt on an Indy.

That #4 Indy is a unique makeup. What sole is on that? Was that from the shoe mart?
