I'm partial to chukkas, so if it was my decision and I absolutely had to give up one of those, I'd let go of the jumpers.
If you recall, I had both a navy chukka and the red brick Navy Indy. I wear the navy chukka quite a bit, I think that (or maybe something like a longwing or a tassel loafer) is more versatile and a better buy. That said, I exchanged my unworn navy Indys for the marble Indys. Looking back on it I probably should have kept the navy Indy boots instead as I think those are more versatile
Thanks for your insight. I'm sure that you're well aware that Leffot is accepting preorders on the blue suede Indy right now.
Keep the CXL Jumpers IMO.
I wonder if they could be smoothed out with a deer bone or a spoon, anyone ever do this to get these ridges smoothed down. The spacing between the ridges (bottom two pics) is even between each one and runs across the vamp and sides somewhat. Looks like a manufacturing deal, can barely see it on the other shoe but it's there. Truth is, these are so beautiful I hate to send them back to theshoemart as my creases will eventually run across the vamps anyway... still I wish they were perfect...
Honestly I don't understand this critique that much. The Barrie chukka fits fine, and cordovan chukkas look great.
Edit - also, essentially all retailers say that Alden chukkas are among their favorite models.
I too am a J Walker fan. Now this Booker's I've not tried. Single malt? Can you expand? I seek made in USA companies products whenever possible. I've personally had enough of supporting the Communist China built products. Sorry, not trying to offend anybody, but that's how I roll....
