Thank you all, gentlemen. And to Kashiwa as well. Missed getting him in the multiquote. I blame the iPhone.

cigar and ravello lwb are good looking shoes- i am big believerwhen it comes to the exotic colors that time will take care of your issue; therefore, i would do nothing

Thank you for your advice.  I'll post pictures at some point.

New arrival. Whiskey LHS.  Weird, these have these bumps on the left shoe vamp, must have been something in the processing or shipping.  Haven't really seen this before.  Wondering if I should return these, damn they look so nice with the coloring... My bet this is animalistic leather, it will work itself out over time.... still ... Uncle maybe weigh in..

I mean what the hell looks like some killie desing ... I must be over processing but don't want to crease em before the final verdict.  Has anyone seen this before?

i have those bumps/striations on a couple of my shells. it actually does not go away. if you aren't okay with it you should send them back.

nephew,
today is a good day for whiskey. the whiskey color looks good (dark then lighter) i would use the break in method to ascertain if the fit is correct and i would keep the shoes if the fit is right

Go to a shoe repair shop and say "stitch this darn tongue in place!" smile.gif

Or get a bellows tongue. That would be more $ tho.

Where are the bumps? On your right shoe there's a little bit of veining on the vamp, but cordovan is a natural product and to me that's character. A wise man once said that no Alden is perfect, keep them & enjoy IMO.

Looking for a pic or two of the Leffot Blue Suede Indy boot with some miles on them, could you post up pics, Zippy or anyone else?

the break in method
1-where the shoes three seperate time for at least an hour each time.
2-walk only on carpeting
3-after three wearing you should be able to ascertain if the fit is right
