I love this pair because

1) it is close to ravello in an Indy, which is rare
2) rare machine stitching

One of the more unique pairs posted

I have this shoe - wonderful. It is a single leather sole also.

Soon I will be sending my vintage Hanover black shell ptb's to BNelson (in need of restoration) to have them convert my standard sole, double leather, to the flex sole, single leather. They are lined, but they are so well broken in that they will feel almost exactly like my unlined color 8 PTBs. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

These are on the flex welt actually. I purchased them from Alden SF earlier this Spring. Give them a call and see if they have anything left over.

Also, I have called Kathy at Alden DC and asked her to consider doing this make-up next Spring in color 8, black shell or even a cigar make-up with antique edge-trim.

The leather insole piece that sits under my heal is beginning to come up. Does anyone have suggestions on what to use to fix it? I was going to pick up some super glue but wanted to check here first since you guys have been so helpful. Thanks.

Try cement glue. You can pick it up from any shoe store.

I like your plans for your Hanovers. I contacted BNelson a few months back and am considering doing the same thing to my ravello ptb's.
