I only have one pair in Tremont (974) but they fit perfectly in my 9E Barrie size. I've never varied size in Barrie lasted shoes no matter the style or leather, though.

I actually went over to Alden NY to try on some 974s. I needed 10E. Something in my foot shape required the next width up in that last.

I know this might sound kind of silly, but I think we should organize an Alden "happy hour" event in certain major cities...would anyone be game for this?   Not sure what kind of turnout we'd have, and if people are as interesting in real life as they are on this forum, but just a thought.  My other thought would be to organize an annual (or one-time) Alden factory site visit, perhaps even turn it into a weekend, where you could bring your wives, girlfriends, etc.  Then again, maybe better to maintain anonymity...happy Friday everyone.
