The wedge sole is not my favorite either, but this batch of Natty CXL has more luster and a lighter tone.  It makes a great combo, and it's very comfortable.  These are my favorite boots (caveat being I do not have a shell boot  .  .  .  yet)

This is just a curiosity, but does anyone have any insights into how on earth it is that ebay shops like "distinctive footwear" or "hitchnpost" are listing numerous pairs of used shell cordovan shoes, rare ravello models and the like at that, pretty much every week.

I believe they are already closed. I believe renovations were scheduled to start earlier this month to make them an AE store.

Seriously! There must be some secret proprietary step in his method that he has not revealed to us.  Haven't been able to get mine quite that shiney.  Maybe its just his decades of experience.

How many cordovan Indy runs were done with machine stitching? I've only seen a few pairs posted online. I kind of like the contrast machine stitching on Mac's whiskey Indy over the hand stitching on mine...
