They've definitely patina'd into something else.

I'll chime in to say these look wonderful. They must be a pleasure to wear. Thanks for the update.

Interesting! I had never taken time to notice that... I'm intrigued now.

I knew there was something about it that reminded me of the AE Cambridge!

Read through 23xx posts... now I can ask without fear of getting stoned. Did anyone receive their Cigar indys from J.Gilbert?

The barrie last in 8D has never worked for me, and these are 8D and are perfect. This wouldn't be the first time Alden mixed up a last for Unionmade. On Unionmade's first captoe color 8 boots Alden mistakenly did them on the grant last, rather than the barrie. It was corrected on the second run. Epaulet does their unlined ptb's on the leydon, so it certainly is possible Alden did the same last for Unionmade, despite Unionmade's specifications.

You've had an interesting experience .....

By all accounts mine are on the Barrie - 9D. I had the same barrie-lasted "more snug" issue with my unlined color 8 ptbs as well. If they were 9D on the Leydon last, I couldn't wear them (too small all around) - I have one Leydon lasted shoe - 9.5D - and it is snug. The next Leydon I get (if I get one) will be 10D.

Not yet, if I remember correctly, Jenni said the commando soles were on backorder.

These are excellent. Are ravello LHS currently available anywhere with a dark welt/edge like this?
