We carry the waterlock (oiled) sole as well.

Nice! With answers and supplies like that, who the hell would use Alden (with their insane wait, and price) to have a new sole put on their shoes.

Not to mention the TERRIBLE re-dye they have been doing to some of the exotic shell (even when requested to not touch the uppers)

It's a no brainer if you ask me satisfied.gif

Is the water lock oiled sole you have of the same origin and quality as the ones used by Alden?

Yes....they come from the same source that supplies Alden.

Cigar, Ravello, and Whiskey LWB. All recently manufactured and acquired. Hopefully this will be a good comparison of the recent rare shell tones.

That is great to hear. I love the waterloc sole and have passed on shoes in the past because it was not offered. It is good to know I can buy a shoe and have it changed over to a waterloc. Is pricing the same for it or is it a bitmore ? Thanks.

I don't think the dark welt & edge trim would work well with the whiskey, but I agree that it's nice with the ravello. Then again, I think (not sure, since I haven't seen them in person) I'm in the camp that might prefer the cigar with a dark brown welt & edge trim.

^ the dark edge trim really transforms the ravello into a dressier shoe, and in my PTB, i appreciate that since i can wear it with suits as well as casual attire.

I think that is why I like it, although I believe the ravello LWB from AoC has a crepe sole, which I'm not sold on. Where did you get ravello PTBs, by the way?
