Shoemart and Alden of San Franciso carry them, but they are hard to come by, as are most if not all whiskey models. I got mine at Alden of San Francisco. Good luck!!

^Also try Alden Madison Ave. I bought my pair there. Can't recall if Alden DC carries them. It is possible.

Looking to buy my first snuff suede shoe, and I do like the new LS wingtip boot w/ the brass eyelets.

Does anyone out there know of a better looking Alden in snuff suede?  While not apples to apples, is the PTB or LWB or LHS as good?  Or has anyone seen any cool makeups that are worth waiting for?

I have the unlined ptb from unionmade. I really like it. Very versatile ...

I'd go PTB or LHS if it were me. Suede is more of a summer look and boots dont really fit imo.

I couldn't disagree more, especially re: snuff. It is best in fall, and can certainly be rocked in winter, weather permitting.

Reverse welt.

Thanks Mr. K & that Epaulet make-up is going to look great.

Pardon me. I did not see that he said snuff suede. Yes, I can see how that can be well suited for a boot.

my bad

Yes, they can be done in red cushion crepe or red Dainite.
We carry the waterlock (oiled) sole as well.

Nice! With answers and supplies like that, who the hell would use Alden (with their insane wait, and price) to have a new sole put on their shoes.

Not to mention the TERRIBLE re-dye they have been doing to some of the exotic shell (even when requested to not touch the uppers)

It's a no brainer if you ask me satisfied.gif

Is the water lock oiled sole you have of the same origin and quality as the ones used by Alden?
