^ I actually just checked their website and they do have an option for a B width on the 403....I wish I would have known that when I got mine from Shoemart last year. TSM only offers C/D/E, but it looks like Alden SF now has B/C/D/E/EE/EEE widths. Did they always have so many width options of the 403?

Yes. The Trubalance is an orthopedic last.

Alden Shop of SF offers numerous widths in numerous models. But it's important to always check. For example, whereas they may only offer D width in a whisky model, they may also offer that some model in color 8 in B, C, D, and E, etc.

Always curious as to why they have 2 boots that are very similar. Always though that the 403 is superior because of the CXL. Anyone favor the 405?

Those PTB look great. One question: From the end of your big toe, how much more room is there? I just picked up a pair, and they're great in the width and snug in the heel, but I'm worried about the length.

Alden S.F. They are the most comfortable pair of Alden shoes I have owned. Another great thing about them is that even though they are barrie lasted, they look much sleeker bc they are unlined. They look almost like the plaza last.

The width of my thumb.

Even as a big fan of CXL, I like the lighter color of the 405.
