Mother-of-God, I did not know this makeup existed until I saw this pair in the FS.

It is the best looking Alden boot I've seen. Want!

My new Alden 8.5D PTB in Ravello (Barrie last) is likely going back tomorrow, as I have to choose between it and the 8E cigar. Plus I've just bought a NOS Florsheim in #6.

I will let anyone who PMs me know as to where (which shop) I'm sending it back.

I could sell it here for my cost price plus shipping to you, but heck it will probably be cheaper for you to buy it from the shop, as their shipping to you may be free.

Hot damn that's a nice boot. Any chance of that being made again in the near-ish future?

As for NRO:

I'd never dealt with them, but have heard a lot of negative things about their CS...

I placed an order yesterday, received an email today about being unable to process my order (I mis-entered my expiration date). The lady I spoke with on the phone was friendly enough and my unlined snuff LHS are being shipped to me tomorrow for just under $350.

I'm pretty damn happy.

I'd asked her about the availability of some stock and she explained that for most normal widths (D) they either have it or can source it from alden almost immediately.
For some rarer items (a shell indy in a C width, for example) you're going to have that 12-14 week wait b/c that is the lead time for them to actually produce and ship you that boot.

doesn't seem all that unreasonable esp when you're saving a buck and a half on a $600+ boot.

Those look great worn like that. Thanks for posting photos of a makeup that doesn't get seen much. And, enjoy.

Agreed, every time I've seen the stock photos of those I dismiss them, but they look damn good in that photo.

If you ever wondered how the hand stitched and machine stitched indy boots look side by side. Both are cigar.

I prefer machine stitched for the Indy. I feel ther should be a rugged utilitarian feel to the Indy boot and the machine stitching represents that to me.
